Miranda becomes fascinated by an antique she finds in the attic of her family's new home--a dollhouse that is an exact replica of the house she and her family live in. She soon realizes that the within the dollhouse live miniature people who seem to be reliving the lives of the house's past occupants--and it's not a pretty story. In the year 1904, a girl named Dorothy was abused by her mother who had been driven mad by her husband who would not allow her to have a job outside of the house. Even more frightening, this past seems to be replaying itself again within Miranda's own family. Can Miranda find a way to right the wrongs of the past, thus saving the future of her family?
